education

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Bowling Green State University. While studying as an undergraduate, I completed several internships (across IT, marketing, sales, and communications) which gave me an excellent opportunity to decide what I did and did not enjoy (marketing and sales, for instance, did NOT make the cut). During my senior year, I also worked as a research assistant under a security-focused professor studying automated android malware detection.

A couple of years ago I decided to return to BGSU to pursue my master's in CS. Since then, I've completed all of my coursework for the degree, and will finally complete the program and earn my degree after I complete a thesis/project.

recognition

"Superhero Award" | Hero Digital | 2024

My peers at Hero Digital nominated me for the "Superhero Award", which is "intended to recognize one outstanding team member who consistently contributes to Hero's culture across teams, has a positive and uplifting impact, takes utmost pride in our company purpose, and embodies all three of our company values - Wholehearted, Craft-driven, and Bright." I'm incredibly grateful that I've been able to make such a positive impact on the day-to-day lives of the people I work with that they chose me.

Outstanding MS in CS Award | BGSU | 2023

When I was informed that the BGSU CS faculty had selected me for the 2023 award, I was shocked - I actually asked them to confirm that they were speaking to the right person. But they were. It was an absolute honor to be chosen by the CS faculty for this award.

Outstanding Computer Science Senior Award | BGSU | 2019

Each year the BGSU CS faculty nominates and votes to choose one senior student for this award. I was honored to have been chosen, and gave a short speech to accept it - which was terrifying. My voice was probably so shaky that nobody in the (small) audience could understand a word I said. But hey: growth means pushing outside our comfort zones, right?
